Tour tip: Dolomites in one day

November 2, 2011 in Italy

Our motorcycle tour through the Dolomites started in Corvara. From there, we took the road via Cassian to the Falzarego pass and further on to Cortina, which is famous since the Olympic Games once held there, and through scenes from a James Bond movie that were shot there. This route offers spectacular panoramas on the steep cliffs and mountains that are so typical for this area. From Cortina we took a bigger road for the next kilometers until a little turn, from where it went over a very steep little pass on a road that is still partly unpaved (but no major challenges) to Forno di Zoldo. From there the route took us over several more passes along the Marmolada mountain with its impressive glacier and along the Lake Fedaia to Canazei. From there we went back across Sella- und das Grödner-Joch – both passes of more than 2000 m, and with a spectacular landscape along the road.

The route is marked on the map. And in our photo gallery you find some impressions from this tour.
