Istanbul is a very special place – a mixture of western and eastern culture, of chaos and beauty, of old and new – and it is a place that you should have visited at least once in your life (you find some photos of this special city on our facebook page).

But for us Istanbul held another surprise: The Motosikletli Polis – the motorcycle police of Istanbul.

Whilst on the search for a hotel we met Ogn,one of the trainers of this police on two wheels. He not only invited us to stay with him, but he also took us with him to work, showed us the grounds of the motorcycle police, and invited us for a training lesson. They have not only 150 BMW R1200GS, but also a few F650GS, and quite a few Honda Varadero.
